ABOUT ANITA
In New York City during the 1980’s and early 90’s there was only one place to go if you were a bride-to-be looking for a non traditional wedding dress ... Anita Pagliaro Ltd. ... an intimate, inviting boutique offering custom dresses and accessories. Other designers soon followed Anita’s cutting edge fashion designs, among them short sexy unbridal dresses with long (bridal) veils.
More recently Anita has worked extensively as an architectural, food, make up and wardrobe stylist for print, television and film. Among her numerous credits are projects as diverse as designs of New York lofts, production design for a PBS film and a choreographed performance piece.
Fortunately for us, Anita has expanded to the broader vision of event design and interior design and is once again a leader in her field, offering an elegant sophisticated style and an unsurpassed aesthetic vision.
For Anita, every job is an artistic endeavor, an art project if you will, Since every situation and client is different, much consideration and time goes into devising a design that reflects the wishes, requests, personalities and interests of each individual. Anita is continually working on new ideas and designs.
ENVIRONMENTS FOR ENTERTAINING
Anita works exclusively on private properties designing site specific installations for adventuresome clients who are aesthetically and environmentally aware.
Indigenous materials are used to retain and enhance the natural beauty of spectacular settings and to minimize any impact to the environment. Event sites are often in remote settings or alternative locations, requiring innovative techniques to transform the site to accommodate guests. Events are also designed to flow seamlessly and allow visitors to enjoy several locations on a property.
Anita was the first to design outdoor circular wedding ceremony sites using indigenous materials to create seating and structures.
In keeping with her “less is more” philosophy, whenever possible flora from the property or locally available materials are gathered and incorporated into ingenious designs. Additional imaginative designs include cleverly fabricated outdoor wedding aisles, entries, creative lighting, cake tables and intricate layouts.

Clients who were happy with their temporary environments asked for Anita’s help with permanent environments prompting her foray into interior design.
Anita’s forte is in creating a sleek minimal contemporary look. She has also been successful at giving a completely new life and look to more traditional spaces.
